The Frankenstein<\/a><\/strong> films of the 1930s are still the\u00a0definitive\u00a0screen versions of Mary Shelley’s novel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Not only did they provide us with a screen icon, but they made a star out of Boris Karloff<\/a> and helped launch Universal Studio’s golden age<\/a> of horror movies.<\/p>\n

Aeron Alfrey<\/a> has posted some photo stills<\/a> from the various Frankenstein films of that era, as well as those that followed in the subsequent decades, including:<\/p>\n
