Isaac Hayes<\/strong><\/a>, the soul legend behind the Theme from Shaft<\/a>, has died in Memphis<\/a> aged 65.<\/p>\n

He was also an occasional actor in films like Escape From New York<\/a> and latterly the TV show South Park<\/a> where he played Chef<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hayes also starred in the forthcoming Soul Men<\/a>, which also features the late Bernie Mac<\/a> (who also died earlier this week).<\/p>\n
