<\/a><\/p>\n After watching David Fincher’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button<\/a><\/strong> for the first time, there was something about Alexandre Desplat’s score<\/a> that stayed with me.<\/p>\n I wasn’t sure exactly what this was until reading that the score contains musical\u00a0palindromes<\/a>: many of the themes can be played backwards, which mirrors the central story of a man ageing in reverse.<\/p>\n The composer explains more in this interview with NPR<\/a>:<\/p>\n
