most iconic in all of cinema and the real life location can be seen above on <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=35.760781,-119.561533&amp;spn=0.0025,0.0025&amp;t=m&amp;q=35.760781,-119.561533\">Google Maps<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The scene was meant to take place in northern\u00a0<a title=\"Indiana\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Indiana\">Indiana<\/a>, but was actually shot\u00a0on Garces Highway (155) near the towns of\u00a0<a title=\"Wasco, California\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wasco,_California\">Wasco<\/a> and\u00a0<a title=\"Delano, California\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Delano,_California\">Delano<\/a>, north of\u00a0<a title=\"Bakersfield\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bakersfield\">Bakersfield<\/a> in\u00a0<a title=\"Kern County, California\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kern_County,_California\">Kern County, California<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you have never seen the film, here it is:<\/p>\n<p><object
