{"id":4527,"date":"2009-01-21T01:39:38","date_gmt":"2009-01-21T01:39:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/?p=4527"},"modified":"2009-01-21T02:05:12","modified_gmt":"2009-01-21T02:05:12","slug":"dick-cheney-bad-action-movie-villain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/2009\/01\/21\/dick-cheney-bad-action-movie-villain\/","title":{"rendered":"Dick Cheney: Bad action movie villain?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Is it just me or does <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dick_Cheney\">Dick Cheney<\/a><\/strong> look like a bad action movie villain in this photo from today&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/archives\/2009\/01\/20\/president-barack-obama-2009-inauguration-and-address\/\">inauguration<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4528\" title=\"Dick Cheney villain\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/cheney-villain.jpg\" alt=\"Dick Cheney villain\" width=\"289\" height=\"345\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He had\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usnews.com\/blogs\/planning-to-retire\/2009\/01\/20\/cheney-in-wheelchair-for-inauguration-ceremony.html\">pulled a muscle in his back<\/a>, which explained the wheelchair, but all the guy needed was a white cat and he would have been\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ernst_Stavro_Blofeld\">Ernst Stavro Blofeld<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Marvel commissioned a special <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/archives\/2009\/01\/09\/obama-teams-up-with-spider-man\/\">Spider-Man meets Obama comic<\/a> recently but now &#8211; as I&#8217;ve suggested before &#8211; they really need to do another for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dick_cheney\">the outgoing vice-president.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A teamup with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kingpin_(comics)\">Kingpin<\/a> would be appropriate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kingpin_(comics)\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4332\" title=\"Is Dick Cheney related to Kingpin?\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/dick-cheney-and-kingpin.jpg\" alt=\"Dick Cheney and Kingpin\" width=\"500\" height=\"274\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.marvel.com\/universe\/Kingpin\">Marvel describe<\/a>\u00a0the bald-headed Spidey villain (aka Wilson Fisk) as:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u2026a criminal mastermind who is involved in extensive illegal activities such as drug running, smuggling, murder, and so forth.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, he has no criminal record and an army of lawyers to keep it that way, and is a criminal financial strategist without parallel.\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Remind you of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/id\/2169292\/\">anyone<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>[Photo via <a href=\"http:\/\/d.yimg.com\/us.yimg.com\/p\/rids\/20090120\/i\/r2264196025.jpg?x=289&amp;y=345&amp;q=85&amp;sig=FQn3upr7rqk4utDpSShLZQ--\">Popurls<\/a>]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Is it just me or does Dick Cheney look like a bad action movie villain in this photo from today&#8217;s inauguration?
