Kung Fu Panda<\/a><\/strong> (Paramount): One of the best animated films of the year saw\u00a0Jack Black<\/a>\u00a0voice a panda named Po, along with\u00a0Jackie Chan<\/a>,\u00a0Dustin Hoffman<\/a>,\u00a0Angelina Jolie<\/a>,\u00a0Lucy Liu<\/a>,\u00a0Seth Rogen<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Ian McShane<\/a>\u00a0in supporting roles.\u00a0Set in ancient China, the story involves around a bumbling panda who gets selected to join a group of\u00a0kung fu<\/a>\u00a0warriors\u00a0who must defend their village. Directed by\u00a0John Stevenson<\/a> and\u00a0Mark Osborne<\/a>\u00a0it was one of the best efforts from DreamWorks in recent years with some witty ideas and well executed set-pieces (a prison escape being one of the highlights).<\/p>\n
