This is the 43-minute ‘tragicomic musical’ created by Joss Whedon<\/strong><\/a>, exclusively for distribution on the web.<\/p>\n

According to Wikipedia:<\/p>\n

It tells the story of Dr. Horrible (Billy), an aspiring supervillain<\/a>, Captain Hammer, his nemesis, and Penny, their mutual love interest.<\/p>\n

The movie was written by writer\/director Joss Whedon<\/a>, his brothers Zack Whedon (a television writer) and Jed Whedon (a composer), and Jed’s fianc\u00e9e, actress Maurissa Tancharoen.<\/p>\n

The writing team penned the musical during the WGA writers’ strike<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The idea was to create something small and inexpensive, yet professionally done, in a way that would circumvent the issues that were being protested during the strike.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It is available on US iTunes store and the video site Hulu<\/a> – normally two places UK viewers can’t access for copyright reasons.<\/p>\n

However the above video appears to be working.<\/p>\n
