LONDON,\u00a0 Wednesday 19 March 2008 \u2013 Sony Pictures Releasing (UK) are pleased to\u00a0 confirm that the UK release date for the eagerly anticipated 22nd James Bond adventure QUANTUM OF SOLACE will be Friday, 31st October 2008, opening at the Odeon Leicester Square and all over the country.<\/p>\n

QUANTUM\u00a0 OF\u00a0 SOLACE\u00a0 continues\u00a0 the\u00a0 high\u00a0 octane\u00a0 adventures of James Bond (DANIEL CRAIG) in CASINO ROYALE.<\/p>\n

Betrayed\u00a0 by\u00a0 Vesper,\u00a0 the\u00a0 woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest\u00a0mission personal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond\u00a0 and\u00a0 M\u00a0 (JUDI\u00a0 DENCH)\u00a0 interrogate\u00a0Mr White (JESPER CHRISTENSEN) who reveals\u00a0 the\u00a0 organisation which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.<\/p>\n

Forensic intelligence links an Mi6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a\u00a0 case\u00a0 of\u00a0 mistaken\u00a0identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille\u00a0(OLGA KURYLENKO), a woman who has her own vendetta.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Camille leads Bond\u00a0 straight to Dominic Greene (MATHIEU AMALRIC), a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious organisation.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0 a\u00a0 mission\u00a0 that\u00a0 leads\u00a0 him\u00a0 to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers\u00a0 that\u00a0 Greene,\u00a0 conspiring\u00a0 to\u00a0 take\u00a0 total control of one of the world\u2019s most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano (JOAQUIN COSIO).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Using his associates in the organisation, and\u00a0 manipulating\u00a0 his\u00a0 powerful\u00a0 contacts\u00a0 within\u00a0 the CIA and the British government,\u00a0Greene\u00a0 promises\u00a0 to\u00a0 overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land.<\/p>\n
