{"id":12439,"date":"2011-07-19T06:00:56","date_gmt":"2011-07-19T05:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/?p=12439"},"modified":"2011-07-19T06:12:12","modified_gmt":"2011-07-19T05:12:12","slug":"trailer-the-dark-knight-rises-teaser","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/2011\/07\/19\/trailer-the-dark-knight-rises-teaser\/","title":{"rendered":"Trailer: The Dark Knight Rises Teaser"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thedarkknightrises\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12440\" title=\"The Dark Knight Rises poster\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/The-Dark-Knight-Rises-poster.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"280\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The first teaser trailer for the upcoming Batman film <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/pvP4yZ\">The Dark Knight Rises<\/a><\/strong> was officially released today.<\/p>\n<p>It will be released on July 20th next year and as the film is currently shooting, there is only a couple of new bits of footage mixed in with clips from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0372784\/\">Batman Begins<\/a> (2005) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0468569\/\">The Dark Knight<\/a> (2008).<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/phyQMIof65c\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"560\" height=\"349\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, Warner Bros released it on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thedarkknightrises\">official Facebook page for the film<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedarkknightrises.com\/\">the official site<\/a> links directly to it), which is a clever move as it allows them to track &#8216;likes&#8217; and comments from fans, as opposed to an embedded trailer which merely tracks page views and plays.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thedarkknightrises\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12441\" title=\"The Dark Knight Rises Facebook page\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/The-Dark-Knight-Rises-Facebook-page.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"522\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Obviously this is one of the most anticipated films in years, so how does a studio like Warner Bros go about releasing the first teaser?<\/p>\n<p>They decided to attach it to cinema prints of the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/qxfy2y\">latest Harry Potter film<\/a> (thus tapping in to a huge audience) but part of the problem is that these days people just film it on their smart phone and upload it to YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>That meant that although some got taken down, it wasn&#8217;t hard to see one on the popular video site and, if you were really keen, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slashfilm.com\/read-trailer-description-the-dark-knight-rises\/\">\/Film even posted a detailed description<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The official trailer in HD finally dropped on Facebook at around 5pm London time and predictably was linked all over the place.<\/p>\n<p>But it raises the question &#8211; shouldn&#8217;t studios just premiere big trailers like this on YouTube?<\/p>\n<p>As for the content, we get a glimpse of what the story might involve, the main villain, a brief new clip of Batman and that weird chant music which was playing on the official website until recently.<\/p>\n<p>Also, freeze frame the trailer at 1:24 and you&#8217;ll notice a blurry figure in the background who some are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mothersdevotion.com\/industry\/dark-knight-rises-teaser-easter-eggs\">already speculating about<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Finally <a href=\"http:\/\/andrewss7.deviantart.com\/\">AndrewSS7<\/a> has created this <a href=\"http:\/\/andrewss7.deviantart.com\/\">wonderful montage<\/a> of the posters from the three Batman films (Warner Bros should hire this guy).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Batman-poster-montage.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12442\" title=\"Batman poster montage\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Batman-poster-montage.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"560\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Batman-poster-montage.jpg 560w, https:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Batman-poster-montage-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&gt;
