{"id":11654,"date":"2011-04-19T01:37:59","date_gmt":"2011-04-19T00:37:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/?p=11654"},"modified":"2011-04-19T01:48:11","modified_gmt":"2011-04-19T00:48:11","slug":"google-videos-to-end-on-april-29th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/2011\/04\/19\/google-videos-to-end-on-april-29th\/","title":{"rendered":"Google Videos to end on April 29th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11655\" title=\"RIP Google Videos\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/RIP-Google-Videos.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"280\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Google are closing the video site which they developed before acquiring YouTube in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of this month the millions of videos on <a href=\"http:\/\/video.google.com\/\">Google Videos<\/a> (formerly Google Video) will no longer be available to watch.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent statement <a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2011\/04\/15\/google-video-prepares-to-enter-the-deadpool-for-good\/\">quoted by Techcrunch<\/a>, Google said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>On April 29, 2011, videos that have been uploaded to Google Video will no longer be available for playback. We\u2019ve added a Download button to the video status page, so you can download any video content you want to save. If you don\u2019t want to download your content, you don\u2019t need to do anything. (The Download feature will be disabled after May 13, 2011.)
