\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The poster for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.festival-cannes.com\/en\/article\/58012.html\">64th Cannes film festival<\/a> has been unveiled and it features a stylish retro image of Faye Dunaway.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the portrait version:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.festival-cannes.com\/en\/article\/58012.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmdetail.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Cannes-2011-Poster-Portrait.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Cannes 2011 Poster Portrait\" width=\"560\" height=\"764\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11456\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The poster was designed by the Paris-based design agency <a href=\"http:\/\/www.h5.fr\">H5<\/a>, which is also providing the graphics for this year&#8217;s festival.<\/p>\n<p>A marked improvement on last year&#8217;s depiction of <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.indiewire.com\/brian\/archives\/the_2010_cannes_film_festival_poster_is_here\/\">Juliette Binoche with a magic paintbrush<\/a>, the Dunaway image was originally taken by <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jerry_Schatzberg\">Jerry Schatzberg<\/a> in 1970. <\/p>\n<p>He is the US photographer and filmmaker who also shot the iconic cover for Bob Dylan&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blonde_on_Blonde\">Blonde on Blonde<\/a> (1966) album.<\/p>\n<p>As a director Schatzberg is probably best known for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0070643\/\">Scarecrow<\/a> (1973), the film with Al Pacino and Gene Hackman that shared the Grand Jury prize at Cannes.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"560\" height=\"349\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/haMYQfd6dU4?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Dunaway and Schatzberg will both be attending the festival this year for a screening of their 1970 film <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Puzzle_of_a_Downfall_Child\">Puzzle of a Downfall Child<\/a>, in a restored presentation that is guaranteed to look better than this YouTube drama about heroin use in New York that also won acclaim at Cannes and was a breakout film for Al Pacino.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s festival takes place from May 11th-22nd.<\/p>\n<p>> <a
