\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A reporter from the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Columbus_Dispatch\">Columbus Dispatch<\/a> in Ohio recently came across a homeless man named <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ted_Williams_(announcer)\">Ted Williams<\/a> with an incredible voice for TV and radio.<\/p>\n<p>The result, which feels like a real life remake of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Soloist\">The Soloist<\/a>, was this video in which Williams demonstrated his vocal skills and described how he fell on hard times.<\/p>\n<p><object classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" width=\"560\" height=\"340\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param href=\"http:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/stories\/2011\/01\/04\/national\/main7212927.shtml\">mainstream media outlets<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A thread on Reddit has the latest details on the story:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An anonymous listener of a radio morning talk show in Columbus offered $15,000 to hire this man for the show<\/li>\n<li>It was shot by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/user1673241\">Doral Chenoweth<\/a>, a photographer\/videographer for The Columbus Dispatch.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.daveandjimmy.com\/\">DJs from a local radio station<\/a> featured the sound-byte from this video on their show yesterday and <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/daveandjimmy\/status\/22418526526509056\">may have Ted on the show tomorrow<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, a homeless guy down on his luck may find redemption thanks to the good will of people on the web.<\/p>\n<p>Someone has got to snap up the rights and make this into a feel-good movie, right?<\/p>\n<p>For the latest, check out
