Billy Bob Thornton meltdown on CBC

Billy Bob Thornton was recently on the CBC Radio One program Q, hosted by Jian Ghomeshi.

He was there in a musical capacity with his band The Boxmasters and what followed was a now-legendary appearence to rank alongside George Best on Wogan, Sigur Ros on NPR, Oliver Reed on After Dark and James Brown on CNN.

Best bit: when asked about his musical tastes and influences as a child, he starts going on about ‘Famous Monsters of Filmland’.

Later Thornton complained that Canadian audiences wouldn’t get up and move, saying that Canadians were like mashed potatoes without gravy, which perhaps isn’t the best way of boosting his Canadian record sales.
